WHICH SHIRT TO WEAR FOR CHRISTMAS ?

Christmas is approaching fast, too fast, and you haven't yet thought about the outfit you will wear. Especially since you have to plan for two: Christmas with family or friends, and the New Year's Eve that follows. A real headache.

Christmas 

Often celebrated with family, Christmas is less formal than New Year's Eve. Nevertheless, we dress in an elegant way to mark this festive day. Suit, shirt and tie are the order of the day.

The suit

Well-made and well-cut. A navy blue, brown or grey suit will lend itself perfectly to the event. Avoid black, too formal for a family day.

You can also dare to wear a vest, which is rarely worn, take advantage of it. It finishes an outfit and keeps you warm at the same time.

Light blue, pink, fine stripes, or small blue checks. 

If you want a slimmer silhouette, choose stripes that lengthen a profile.

The accessories

Shoes: brown, they will match perfectly with your suit.

For a light blue shirt: a colored tie

For a striped shirt: a plain silk knit tie

You can also opt for the bow tie, synonymous with celebration, it is quite suitable. Choose it in original colors or with pretty patterns.

You can also replace the tie and bow tie with a silk scarf, slipped into the shirt. Very elegant, once is not customary, and this time is ideal. Complete the look with a matching clutch.

The suit

For a formal evening or a candlelit dinner, a black tuxedo is the way to go, or alternatively a black suit. Well cut of course. Sober and dressy, it will be perfect for this type of occasion.

The shirt

A black tuxedo is always paired with a white shirt with a collar, the height of elegance. It will be even more dressed in a textured fabric such as herringbone, dobby or twill, and with cufflinks.

Accessories

Black patent leather loafers.

A white cotton piqué or black satin bow tie for an absolutely impeccable look.

Cufflinks: they must be discreet, no skulls, the height of bad taste.

The clutch: an accessory that is not essential, but that will make you stand out and give you a well thought-out style all the way. Choose the white one to remind the shirt.
