Our opinion
Originally made of wool, flannel is now a combed (brushed) cotton fabric to give it a fluffy feel.
Here we have a lovely khaki green flannel created by one of the most discreet but prestigious Japanese cotton mills.
The fabric is as thick as you would expect from a warm shirt like this.
It will stay soft over the course of many washes and should not fade with gentle washing (< 30°) and machine drying.
As the fabric is made on Japanese looms, some of which date back to the mid-20th century, the rolls of fabric we make and send to our workshop are 1/3 less in width, which explains the slightly higher price than other plain flannels.
This model is available in navy blue, light blue beige and grey. It does not have a chest pocket.
