Winter shirts
Winter shirt, warmth above all. Officially, winter is the cold season when everyone wraps up in several layers of clothing, the season when comfort sometimes prevails over style. But did you know that it is quite possible to combine the 2, provided you know how to choose your winter shirt.
First, the material. Beyond the color, the cut, the assembly, the seams or the finishes, a good winter shirt will be a shirt cut from quality fabrics. A thick flannel shirt (lumberjack type shirt) or a superior cotton shirt will respond perfectly to the winter cold.
Other variations of thick shirts exist. We think less frequently of those in twill or denim, which are nevertheless smart materials in winter. Flexible and good fit, the twill shirt, more resistant than poplin, retains body heat while the denim shirt is the perfect mix of style and comfort. Finally, the slightly thicker Oxford shirt is a very nice alternative.
