Cut-away collar with hidden buttons
Adopt the cut away collar for its aesthetic and practical advantages! Original, the cut away collar is a variant of the Italian collar. Except that it is even more open, almost cut, hence its name. Its characteristic? The extreme angle created by the distance between the points of the collar and its reverse which allows it to be placed perfectly under the jacket, even in movement. Like the Italian collar, the cut away collar is particularly suitable for elongated faces and thin necks, giving them a little more roundness. Whether accessorized with a tie or worn alone, the cut-away collar shirt goes perfectly with a suit jacket or a blazer: its points blend in completely, for unfailing elegance! But be careful, at Première Manche, who says open collar does not mean falling collar! A button has been concealed on each side to keep the collar straight, even without a stay.

What type of tie knot with a cutaway collar
Literally from English cut and away which means "cut" and "away". Because it is a particularly flared (open) collar, any tie knot will be highlighted. We will therefore prefer an imposing tie knot such as the windsor, or a double knot.
Should we wear a tie with a cutaway collar?
It all depends on the opening of the cervix. There are very open (extreme cutaway) collars that will look strange without a tie and are really meant to be worn with a tie. The First Sleeve cutaway collars all have a hidden button under the tab so that the collar remains straight even when it is open.
French collar, cut-away, American collar, what are the differences?
There are 3 types of collar for tie collars: from the least flared to the most flared: the French collar whose points almost touch, the Italian collar with the standard opening and the cut-away collar. The difference between each of these collars is the opening of the collar as well as the length of the points. Première Manche has chosen a standard opening so that the shirts can be worn with or without a tie.
