What is a popover shirt?
The popover shirt is a shirt that does not open all the way to the front, i.e. not from top to bottom. The popover shirt is put on by the head and has a buttoned opening in front, like the polo shirt. But, this one is a little longer. This garment combines elegant and casual style.
By the way, the term pop-over comes from "pop it over the head".
The origins of the popover shirt
It was in the early 1960s that the brand Gant popularized the popover shirt. Its style corresponds to the spirit of the style of young students of prestigious colleges and universities.
