Sales at Première Manche

The Origin of Sales

Sales were invented in the 1830s by a businessman, Simon Mannoury, founder of the first Parisian department store, Le Petit Saint Thomas (now Le Bon Marché). He introduced this system to sell off as much unsold seasonal inventory as possible by lowering prices for a limited period, allowing him to replace them with the new collection. Since then, sales have become an unmissable seasonal event. Laws regulate them to prevent abuse: prohibition to discount an item on sale for less than a month, dates set by the State, an official duration of 6 weeks, and the obligation to display both the old and new retail prices.

At Première Manche, we want to offer you our last remaining sizes from the Autumn-Winter 2019 season at reduced prices. As a young brand, our margins are not very high, but we are happy to offer you a 10% discount on these models. Since our stock is limited, take advantage quickly before they are completely sold out!

Sales on shirts for an elegant man looking for quality and style for every occasion in life. From Wednesday, January 8 to Tuesday, February 4, 2020.

Frequently Asked Questions

What we
are asked

For a job interview, choose a white poplin or twill shirt with a semi-spread collar. It’s the most neutral option: it won’t distract your interviewer and shows attention to detail without trying to make an impression.
Three signs: the chest buttons are pulling (you can see gaps between the button plackets), the shoulder seams sit forward of the shoulder point, or the collar leaves red marks at the end of the day. If any of these signs are present, go up a size.
In formal settings, yes. A tucked-in shirt signals attention to detail. It is designed to be worn that way: if it looks too long when untucked, it’s a fit issue, not a style choice.
Five is the minimum to avoid repeating the same shirt every week: two white, two light blue, and one in a slightly bolder fabric or color. The goal isn’t quantity, but rotation without visual fatigue.
